In 2016, we expanded to include our After-School Program, allowing us to support families throughout the school year
as well. The same values that shaped our camps continue to guide the program today — helping children settle in
quickly, build friendships, stay engaged, and enjoy their afternoons.
Today, Northumberland’s BEST serves families across Northumberland County through our After-School Program,
Summer Camps, and March Break Camps. Each program supports families at different times of the year, but all are built
on the same foundation: thoughtful structure, caring staff, engaging activities, and an environment where children feel
supported and parents feel confident in their choice.
Our After-School Program is designed to give children the right balance of routine, movement, play, and social
connection after the school day ends. With transportation from local schools, age-based groups, structured activity
rotations, and time in our Kids Activity Center, children are part of an afternoon that feels organized, welcoming, and
enjoyable.
